an entry for a polymer clay sculpture contest. One of only a small handful of sculptures I have ever attempted.

It's cool, I like it, would love to see some colour on it though. ;-)

Thaks! I'm still trying to figure out how to get realistic color on this. Any suggestions on how to make it appear see-through with phosphorescent shimmers?
Well I have no clue at the moment but I like it very much all the same. :D

TY =) It's the one piece of art that I liked from the start... most others I have to "grow" to like. haha
Well with my paintings I usually know where they are going and how they will look when done. Sometimes I dislike like them during different stages, but in the end I get to a point where I like all of them. I keep refining my work until I get it to a where I am happy with it. I just started a very complex watercolour, I like it but anyone I show a preview of it to has no clue I am sure where I am going with it. :)

I love the tentacles!
You asked if you can make see-through phosphorescent shimmers: I'm not sure how to make it see through, since it's pretty much opaque... but there are some metallic acrylic paints and then sculpey glaze that add shimmers and sheens, which would be pretty jelly-fishy.

thanks! the tenticles took me the longest time to make. I would collect a bunch, then decide I needed them finer, so i'd mush them all up & start all over again.
i will have to look into that paint & glaze. unfortunately, i wasn't able to work on it more before the contest deadline...

That's great! I would have never thought to bake the legs seperately, clever idea!
